Test knitting

We do not stipulate that your patterns have to be test knitted / crocheted before you list them for sale on our site. It is up to you to decide how best to ensure that the pattern is easy to follow and free from errors. Errors often lead to customers requesting pattern refunds (which will be deducted from your next month’s sales) and can also be harmful for your success as a designer if they crop up often.

For many designers, preventing errors from appearing in patterns does mean having it test knitted before it is published. Social platforms like Instagram can be good places to reach out to the knitting / crochet community to request volunteers to knit it and give you feedback.
